Behold This Love I've Laid to Rest
Behold this love I've laid to rest
It occupied my empty chest And took with it my very best I'll learn to live again I sold my hopes and dreams for you Ripped out all my seams for you And gave you all that's good and true I'll learn to live again I learned that I was ready for The brightest days that were in store But now I slowly close the door I'll learn to live again I have been through some sad, sad times And found that some words have no rhymes And found the sweet in bitter limes I'll learn to live again If I do find another one Under this, a kindly sun I'll walk slow - no race to run I'll learn to love again © 2013 Nicholas Emeigh |
