King of Marigolds
You are the King of Marigolds,
To marigolds, your memory holds, And every year I think of you When summer ends and takes the dew This latent pain refills my brain, And all these tears I can't contain. What I wouldn't give to bring You back. I would give anything For just a day to sow the seeds Of marigolds, and tend their needs Until they come into fruition, Until this grief has seen eviction. © 2013 Nicholas Emeigh |
