May Twenty Third
has there ever been a day
that you needed nothing more
than cool air and warm sunshine
at the tail end of spring?
i thought not.
but today it seemed just enough
to be cooled by the air and warmed
by the heat of the sun, that
a tingling spread from my heart:
electrofied spiderwebs.
just driving along with a voice
syncopated by the beating pathways of
recycled blood, and this is life
on earth, life as we'd like it
on a good day.
