What It's Like to Look at Me
You don't know, but I can see you
Through the magnifying glass
I smile wide - you smile wider
Cover up the mental blasts
Every day it's getting harder
Take it all upon the chin
But this chin is getting brittle
And my patience wearing thin
Happiness - the destination
Slowly, surely drifts away
Taking with it my emotions
So I sit and stare all day
People look and smile scared smiles
Doctors scribble notes on pads
I can't seem to find myself
Amongst the lost and lonely lads
