Dr. Joseph Nicolosi thinks he can treat and cure homosexuality through therapy. This is both inaccurate and ridiculous. You can see the story and video interview here in today's blog.
It's a proud day for New Jersey, and all gays in the tri-state area. Gay marriage just came a little closer to Philly, and Joanne Schailey and Beth Asaro became the first gay couple to officially tie the knot in Lambertville, New Jersey... Read More
This guy is clearly insane. There's something wrong with him, and I would feel sorry for him if it weren't so damned creepy. This guy looked so much better before the surgery, including his hair.
Don't look too hard.

"Real Pitfalls" was written on October 18, 2013. It is about all the annoyances of everyday life that rhyme. It's a fun poem, so I hope you enjoy it.
"Toxic Friends" was written on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. It's about the choice to be happy, and being unable to see that as a choice because you're stuck in depression. The only way out seems to be suicide, and you beat the odds because you mess it up. You need a friend to help you to martyrdom.
#spiritday - Wear purple today to show your support and take a stand against bullying. I was bullied all throughout my childhood, and I know what the long term effects of bullying feel like. If we all take a stand, we can make a difference in a child's life. Kids and teens are committing suicide over bullying. It needs to stop. Download this Facebook Profile Photo on my deviantART page. There is a link to download it directly. It is free for everyone to use, so please download it and post it to your Facebook page ASAP! :)
"Tower of David" - I have been living in constant worry about what might happen if our economy collapses, which almost happened yesterday. The citizens of Venezuela, whose economy collapsed in the early 90's, were forced to find means to live where there were no means... Read More

Xerox system failures essentially gave a green light to unlimited spending on food stamp cards at Walmart on Saturday. Store managers at Walmarts in Louisiana called Walmart corporate headquarters on Saturday to report huge throngs of shoppers clearing the shelves as the result of a system outage at Xerox, the company who is contracted to process EBT (electronic benefit transfer of food stamps) transactions for the store, which granted unlimited credit to EBT recipients. This is the best article I've read in a long time. It's written on a touchy subject: cheating. I don't do it, and I wouldn't be with anyone who did it to me; and I think there is a different dynamic in the gay world... Read More
I just found this gem about Christopher Columbus being a total douche bag, owning slaves, and perpetrating a sex slave ring with pre-teen girls. Just a few examples of the debauchery that was Christopher Columbus. The silver lining, you'll find, is a man called Bartolomé de las Casas... Read More

Susan Bennett is the voice of Siri. As you may or may not know, I was quoted as saying that Allison Dufty was the voice of Siri, but I was mistaken, and was told so by Allison Dufty herself. Very nicely, I might add. She sounds remarkably like Susan Bennett... Read More

New poem: "Autumn Leaves." This poem was written on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 and read on Friday, October 11, 2013. It's an allegory comparing the brevity of the autumn season and the bursts of color to a magnum opus and life seeming so long, yet short in hindsight.

Award-Winning Journalist and Commentator Bill Moyers gets right to the heart of what the shutdown and debt ceiling threats are all about. He's right on, and it's very scary. Will the republicans really let us default? Is this the end of democracy?

My name is Nicholas Emeigh, but everyone calls me Nick, and I prefer it. I'm usually called Nicholas when I'm in trouble. I'm from the Philadelphia area, work in business, and fancy myself as a freelance graphic designer, writer, and artist. I have a passion for art in all its forms including music, but I restrict my singing to the shower and the car for the good of society. If you'd like to know more, just send me an e-mail. I really appreciate you stopping by.
